Show Troupe

Here are some guidelines that will help, if you are thinking about auditioning for The Dance Factory Show Troupe.

Each year new applicants and existing members attend Dance Camp.  After a week of intensive study in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical technique, auditions are held on the last day for our competition team.  Each dancer auditions before a panel of judges selected by Ms. Debbie. The results are posted at the end of the audition process. If you are a new student and missed out on our dance camp, sometimes special auditions will be offered.  Training in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop is recommended, however, each dancer will be reviewed based on their ability. 

The Dance Factory Show Troupe is a non-profit organization.  To help off-set the expense of costumes, entry fees, accessories and other competition fees, donations and gifts and or contributions are accepted to help defray the cost. Letters for support and contributions can be obtained from the DF Show Troupe organization.

Several scholarships are awarded each year.  The DF scholarships are given to deserving young dancers that choose the Show Troupe as the expansion of their dance education.     The Dance Factory recognizes the talents and the dedication of these dancers and their parents. SHOW TROUPE BASIC RECOMMENDATIONS

Attend 2 -3 Regional Competitions

Attend 1 National Competition during Summer break

Take technique classes in Tap – Jazz – Ballet  (and other classes scheduled at instructors discretion)

Agree to follow the guidelines mandated yearly by the Parents Organization

Attend Parent/ Student Annual Meeting

Agree to pay Costume/ Entry Fee/ Show Troupe Fees

Participate in Annual Performance

Attend Dance Camp
