DEBBIE DANIEL WELLS
Since 1978, Debbie has been the owner and director of The Dance Factory, Inc., one of West Atlanta’s top dance studios. Leading the area with her tap and jazz, Debbie has been voted top choreographer by Kids Artistic Review, ShowBiz, Premier 2000, Star Power, Star Systems, Dance USA, ShowStoppers, NexStar, Footloose and That’s Entertainment. Debbie began her own dance studies at the age of three studying in all genres of dance. Studying extensively under tap greats Al Gilbert, Phil Black, Tommy Sutton, Sharon Baird, Lynda Gache and Henry LeTang, Debbie fell deeply in love with the art of tap. Debbie appeared on national television with Sid and Marty Krofft’s H.R. Pufnstuf and on CBS shows “You’re Looking Good”, “Hee Haw” and “You Can Be a Star.”
She has appeared with such notables as Tony Orlando and Dawn – Sammy Davis, Jr. – Peggy Fleming – Donny and Marie Osmond –the Harlem Globe Trotters and stars of “Dallas,” Jim Davis and Linda Grey. Debbie danced and toured with the Georgia Peaches, was an Atlanta Falcon Cheerleader for four years and served as the team captain for three. In 1995 she was voted South East Director of the Year for “Who’s Who in Dance”. Debbie has actively judged and competed in all of the major dance competitions. Debbie has focused and emphasized her work in tap, ballet, jazz, and lyrical, winning consecutive tap and jazz choreography awards for the past twenty-three years.
The Dance Factory won the Federation of Dance Competitions top studio of the year in 2007. Her dancers have taken the honors of Grand Champions at Kids Artistic Revue Dance Competition consistently since 2003. Her soloists have been recognized with multiple high point awards in all dance genres. Debbie is sought after for tap workshops and choreography throughout the country and has produced many winners in Florida and Kentucky.
Debbie’s philosophy is that, “It’s about so much more than dance.” Stressing the importance of teamwork, community service, and being a nice person first.

A proud native of Atlanta, Georgia, Elycia Phelps has twenty years of professional dance training under her belt. Her extensive training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and various other dance disciplines, has made her both a versatile and a skillful performer. Elycia has trained with several notable choreographers, including Chet Walker, , Kevin “Tokyo” Inouye, Trina Parks, Debbie Daniel Wells, Janet Robertson, Kelvin Amburgey, and the late Deborah Barnes.
Elycia has also perfected her craft through various performances including her career involvement in competitive dance. As a dancer, choreographer, and artistic director, Elycia has been graced with the opportunity of performing for Jennifer Holiday, MC Hammer, TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, and Travis Tritt to name a few. Within her dance career, Elycia was also fortunate to redefine and exhibit her talents in New York City at Broadway Dance Center. A proud recipient of Miss Dance America – Kids Artistic Revue Dance Competition both Regional and National, Elycia seeks to instill knowledge, confidence, and passion into aspiring dancers, while maintaining a professional and healthy learning environment.
Cassie Stell - Recreational Director/ Show Troupe Stars- Tap/Ballet/Jazz
Cassie began studying dance at the age of two under the direction of Debbie Daniel Wells at the Dance Factory. By the age of six, Cassie was competing nationally, and has studied under such notables as Ray Leeper, Tina D’Amato and Deborah Barnes. In 1996 she was recognized for her performance on Carnival Cruise Lines and in 1998 performed at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Cassie continues to attend dance workshops, seminars to strengthen her knowledge and stay current with the changing dance trends.
Cassie has won top awards regionally and nationally in both tap and jazz. In 2004 and 2005 she choreographed and directed the musical “Big” for a local high school drama club. Her love and passion for dance over the past 26 years has touched many lives and provided Cassie with a plethora of dance experience.
Her greatest inspiration is watching her young students excel and follow their dreams.
